News Title: The Village at Crabtree is a new multi-family development of 117 units coming soon to Conway, SC.
The Village at Crabtree is being developed conveniently close to downtown Conway.  Spring Oaks by Dream Finders Homes will be neighbors with the Village at Crabtree.  The Whittemore Park Middle School is located across El Bethel Road from where the Village at Crabtree is being developed.

Conway locals are likely familiar with the “Crabtree” and in particular the Crabtree Swamp.  The Crabtree Swamp passes close by the Village at Crabtree and is one of the most important natural drainage systems in Conway. It originates northwest of the city near Rose Moss Road, flows through and around much of Conway, empties into Kingston Lake, and ultimately reaches the Waccamaw River. The watershed covers approximately 18 square miles and drains a significant portion of the city.  Historically, Crabtree Swamp was a slow-moving blackwater coastal plain stream with extensive hardwood floodplains. In 1964, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dredged and channelized much of the swamp to improve drainage and reduce flooding for agricultural lands. While that improved drainage, it also disconnected the swamp from its natural floodplain, accelerated water flow, increased erosion, and degraded habitat. Since the late 2000s, Horry County and numerous partners have worked to restore portions of the swamp to a more natural condition.

The Village at Crabtree will have 3 buildings, one building that is 10,268 square feet, one building that is 14,040 square feet, and one building that is 14,085 square feet.  There will be a playground, dog park and amenity areas at the Village at Crabtree.

Preliminary plans for the Village at Crabtree are for the 117 units to be leased.
