Dunn’s Ferry is a new home community being planned just off of West Cox Ferry Road in Conway.
The new home community of Dunn’s Ferry in Conway will be developed on an approximate 42.31 acre parcel adjacent to the Waccamaw National Wildlife Range.
The Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge was established on December 1, 1997 to protect and manage diverse habitat within coastal river ecosystems and to provide wildlife-dependent recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, photography and environmental education. The wetland diversity on the refuge provides important habitat for migratory birds, fish and other wildlife. The Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge is located in parts of northeastern Georgetown County, South Carolina, southern Horry, and southeastern Marion counties, and contains lands adjacent to the Pee Dee River, the Little Pee Dee River, and the Waccamaw River near their confluence. Currently the size of the refuge is 22,931 acres but plans call for the total refuge to be over 50,000 acres.
Preliminary plans are showing 51 single-family homes in the new home community of Dunn’s Ferry in Conway.
Moss Park Partners II LLC currently owns the property.
As of September 2025, timing for development of Dunn’s Ferry has not yet been announced.
